Yoga for Weight Loss: What You Need to Know for Success



Think yoga for weight loss is impractical?

When used properly (and incorporates all limbs like traditional exercise) yoga can definitely help you lose weight...

did I mention that it's a bit of a pain in the ass to your mind and body Mental Health?

Using yoga to lose weight may not seem effective to most people. "No, it's just stretching...what can it do to burn calories?"

I'm sure they'll reply.

Well, my friend. Yoga can work for weight loss if you use it properly and I'll show you how to do it in due course.

"But how exactly does yoga work for weight loss? (That's my name by the way) You guys are just stretching...!"

Boy, I can't tell you how many times I've heard this comment.

For those interested in yoga as an option for weight loss is sensible safe and effective.

Remember this is the oldest sports culture known to man and the sport works not only for the body but also for the mind and soul.

 (I can only see you go: "Foras...they've never been overweight so

 don't go there! Well...they never gained weight either they

 actually still look good right?


  • OK here are the poses I recommend you use when using yoga to lose weight.
  • Now my friends I'm going to review what I believe to be the core of yoga poses.
  • Trust me there was a time when I did this alone and still get the benefits of yoga from my daily practice.


Let’s take notes:


Sun Salutations when using yoga to lose weight:


These exercises are a combination of yoga poses breathing exercises sunbathing and prayer.

They have been practiced by Indian martial artists and African wrestlers yoga practitioners for centuries and are unrivaled as a system for rejuvenating body and soul.

already said in Drug-free healing circles believe that a round of sun salutations is much better than a week in the gym!


They are so easy to learn that just about anyone regardless of their fitness or flexibility level can learn these simple exercises.

 In fact, if you're familiar with "burpees" (aerobics exercises) they do originate from sun salutations.


Here are some of their benefits:

  • - Relieve skin and waist diseases.
  • - Flexibility is increased breathing is corrected and they gently exercise the legs and arms increasing blood circulation.
  • - They are the best way to burn calories and lose weight and are often recommended for obesity and depression.
  • - They are an effective way to relax stretch and massage all joints and internal organs of the body.
  • - They stimulate and balance all the systems of the body including the endocrine circulatory reproductive system and the digestive system.


Technique:


1. Stand up straight and put your hands together in a prayer position.

2. Inhale and extend your arms overhead.

3. Exhale and bend forward while touching your toes.

4. Inhale stretch your right leg back and away from your body keeping your hands and left foot firmly on the ground. Bend your head back and your left knee should be between your hands.

5. Inhale and hold your breath. Remove left leg from body feet together floor knee on hand (arm straight) body in a straight line from head to toe.

6. Take a deep breath and drop your body to the ground. In this pose only 8 parts of the body are in contact with the floor: two feet two knees two hands chest and forehead.

7. Inhale and bend back as far as possible flexing the spine as much as possible.

8. Exhale and lift your body from the floor. Put your feet and heels on the floor.

9. Inhale so that your right foot is level with your hand; your left foot and knee should be on the ground. Raise your spine slightly bent (same position as #4)

10. Exhale and bring your left leg forward. Keep your knees straight and place your head down on your knees as in the third pose.

11. Raise your arms above your head and bend back to inhale. such as position 2.

12. Exhale and relax by lowering the arms.

You have now completed one round.


  • Take as many turns as possible in multiples of 3. Ideally, you should aim for a minimum of 6 turns and a maximum of 30 turns. Only takes about 5-10 minutes depending on your speed and intensity best practice with minimal clothing as possible First thing before opening the air window morning.
